Blue Mountain Series

Since I published my first book in 2017, I dreamed of having a proper book launch, like those you see on television and read about in the news. Being a self-published author, there is not much chance of that happening, unless you do it yourself! And that's what I did.

Of course, I had all these elaborate ideas about hiring a venue and invite many people and the newspapers, but in the end I had to curb my enthusiasm and do it on a smaller scale. But I did it. I celebrated with my family and good friends.

Of course, as the setting for the Blue Mountain series is Stellenbosch, in the heart of South Africa's Winelands, and centred on the two farms Twin Peaks and Blue Mountain, of course it had to have a wine theme, so a Cheese and Wine evening was the obvious choice.

A friend, who is a wine expert, gave me the idea of describing my characters as wines. It was so much fun, finding the right wine for each character. I've found the idea and the description on an American wine company's website, but for the life of me can't find it (Sorry, most of my things are in storage, so, if it is your idea, please let me know and I will give you the honours).

So, let me introduce you the characters in the first three books. And, as I've changed the covers of these three books recently, here is the new cover with the character's wine labels:

Summertime Blue: Nathan and Meghan

My Blue Heaven: Marcus and Annie

Kind of Blue: Adam and Nicky (or Nichola)

Yes, that was so much fun that I want to do it again. It's been way too long. Now I just need to finish that next book...

Until next time

Francine
