Let's get personal today!
Today I want to share with you some of my favourite things so you can get to know me a little better. I've used the same approach I did while interviewing my characters, and have drawn up a list. So here it is:
1. Favourite candy?
Chocolate - always chocolate. I love handmade chocolates with decadent fillings and which look too beautiful too. And Lindt but most chocolates will do to satisfy my cravings: Whispers, Flakes, KitKat, Whispa... Ooh, let me stop there! (I bought these at the little chocolate shop in Hogsback.)
2. Favourite song?
This is a difficult choice. I have so many favourite songs, it just depends on the mood but let me choose one. I love the song, and it doesn't matter if it is an old song or not, and several people had sung it over the years, I absolutely still love Elvis Blue's audition in South African Idols with Make you feel my love, originally sung by Bob Dylan.
3. Favourite food?
Pasta, braaivleis (bbq, especially chicken and boerewors) and soup. And toasted sandwiches and trinchado.
4. Favourite drink?
Red Wine and Tea.
5. Favourite band or artist?
6. Favourite movie?
7. Favourite book?
The Woman who walked into Doors by Roddy Doyle
8. Favourite restaurant?
Culture Club, The Village, Pretoria
9. Favourite sport to play? To watch?
To watch rugby. To play: I used to play netball, well into my thirties and I love athletics.
10. Favourite city?
Pretoria and Edinburgh
13. Favourite number? letter?
Favourite number is seven. Letter, I don’t know. Maybe C? (seeing that both my husband and daughter's name starts with a C.)
14. Favourite animal?
Cats (and here is the C again!)
15. Favourite TV show?
At the moment, The Good Doctor, Virgin River and Outlander
16. Favourite quote?
The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go. - Dr Seuss
17. Favourite type of perfume or cologne?
Light, floral for woman, something spicy for men (Still love Old Spice). I often use Dior's J'adore, Jean Paul Gaultier's Classique for Women and Red Door by Elizabeth Arden. And Oh, Jo Malone's Peony and Suede
18. Favourite time of day?
Morning but I do love sunsets too and the evenings when I relax with my family
